Neill has a wealth of experience in civil law and complex cases.  He is committed to the principle that common sense and faithful adherence to the law as written is essential to the functioning of our courts.  Neill is opposed to the fashionable notion that a judge should strive to ensure social or political outcomes regardless of whether those outcomes are what the drafters of our laws intended.  While this notion is said to be “doing justice,” what it achieves is injustice to the citizens of the Commonwealth as expressed in their laws and it threatens the very foundations of our Constitutional system.
